Telephone Advice
If you wish to speak to a member of the medical team for advice please inform one of our staff who will be able to let you speak to our nurse or the on call doctor when they are available. Unless it is a medical emergency, you will not be put through to them if they are consulting. Instead, you will be given a time at which to phone back or in some cases, we will take your phone number and return your call.
If you wish to speak to a particular member of the team who is already dealing with your problem, please inform staff accordingly. When the doctor you normally see is away, there will always be a doctor on call who can help you with any problems in his or her absence. When one of the doctors is away on annual leave, it may be necessary for the practice to employ a locum doctor in order to maintain the number of appointments available to patients. All locums employed by the Practice have completed their GP training.
Telephone Consultations
Many concerns can be dealt with over the phone thereby avoiding the need for an appointment or visit. The doctors or practice nurses will answer any messages left for them as soon as possible.
We always try our best to back to you on the same day and please bear in mind that the telephone tends to be busy during the morning surgery.
If you wish to speak the receptionist regarding a non-urgent matter please telephone between 14:00-16:00.
