consulting rooms, a treatment room. The first floor consists of 5
consulting rooms, a common room with a practice library, offices for
administrative staff as well as a room for a practice counselor. The
building has lift access from the waiting room to the first floor. The

Practice Manager
Martin Evans is the Practice Manager, and Lisa Wilson is our Deputy Practice Manager.
Receptionists
The
reception staff are here to help you and are your link with the rest of
the health care team. They have a difficult job to do with telephone
calls and enquiries coming from every direction. When you telephone for
medical attention the receptionist may need to ask for a few details in
order to judge the urgency of your request. They have been asked to do
this, but the information you give will always be treated in confidence
as they are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as doctors and
nurses.
Administration Team
There
are many 'behind the scenes' jobs to be carried out by our
administration staff, which include the processing of all forms and
registration papers, hospital referral letters and keeping our computer
records accurate. We have two medical secretaries Sylvia Springett and
Siobhan Herity. Gloria O’Connell is in charge of data processing and
patient registration. In addition we also employ Yvonne Miller who is
responsible for the administration of insurance company medical reports
and all non-NHS medical services provided to our patients. Dawn Beasley
is the clinical administrator for data quality control. Should you have
any queries regarding these matters please speak to one of our team.
Counselling
There are
counselors based at the Albion Surgery who have been trained to help
with a range of personal and emotional problems. This service is
available for patients wishing to see a counselor after discussion with
your doctor.
District Nurses
There is a district nursing team attached to the practice that provide home nursing services mostly for the housebound, elderly, chronically sick and people who have had recent operations. If you require the district nursing services you may contact them by telephoning 020 8319 7077 Monday to Friday (9.00am-12.00pm and 1.00pm-5.00pm). Please telephone 0208 302 2678 (8.30am-5.00pm) or 01322 294300 (5.00pm-7.00am) Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.
Community Midwives
Our midwives
share with your doctor your antenatal and postnatal care. They are here
to help expectant mothers with all aspects of health care during
pregnancy and to look after mother and baby in the early postnatal
period. Midwives can be contacted through the switchboard via the
related hospital you have been referred to.
