Home Visits
We offer home visits and will try to make sure your own doctor is the one visiting you if possible. If you are too ill to attend surgery and need a home visit PLEASE TELEPHONE 020 8304 8334 BEFORE 10.00am. The doctor may telephone you to obtain more details. We feel that in many situations you are best seen in the surgery as the doctor has better facilities for examination and urgent tests and investigations can be carried out immediately if necessary.
Out of Hours Visits
When the surgery is closed, patients should
telephone the surgery on 020 8304 8334 at all times; your call will be
automatically transferred to our answering service who will contact the
deputising doctor. The call will be assessed and advice given, or
patients can attend the GRABADOC premises based in Shooters Hill in
Woolwich. However, should a home visit be considered necessary by the
assessing doctor who speaks to you on the phone then this can be
provided. Please use this service for genuinely urgent problems which
cannot wait until the next surgery.
Telephone Advice
Many concerns can be dealt with over the
phone thereby avoiding the need for an appointment or visit. The doctors
or practice nurses will answer any messages left for them as soon as
possible. It is best to phone after morning surgery: normally we can get
back to you on the same day. Please bear in mind that the telephone
tends to be busy during the morning surgery. If you wish to speak to the
receptionist regarding a non-urgent matter please telephone between 2.00
- 4.00pm.
